This tie rod and drag link set replaces the OEM plastic links on AXIAL 1/30 SCX30-based crawlers and is intended for hobby RC use only. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, the components reduce steering flex and create a more direct link between the servo output and steering knuckles. The small, light design suits the scale constraints of 1/30 rock crawlers while improving durability on repeated trail runs.
The kit emphasises steering stability and easy maintenance: threaded rod ends accept the supplied pivot balls so toe and steering throw can be tuned quickly. Always re-check alignment and servo centre after installation to keep steering neutral.
Compare pivot balls and screw sizes in the kit with the stock hardware before fitting. Ensure correct thread engagement to avoid stripping the fine threads; tighten to a firm feel but avoid over-torquing. After fitting, check steering endplay and trim rod ends if necessary to prevent binding.
Check all connections regularly for thread wear and play at the pivot balls. A light application of oil on pivot balls will reduce noise and wear; avoid heavy greases that attract dirt. If steering slack develops, inspect threads and replace any worn pivot balls or tiny screws with common hobby spares.
