L-shape Front Piggy-back Internal Damper

This aluminium piggy-back internal damper is a scale replacement part intended for the Traxxas Unlimited Desert Racer 1/7 platform. The L-shape body contains a built-in piston system and is produced in a 160mm length to match the front damper geometry of the compatible model.

Fitting is focused on swap-in replacement at the front damper mounting points, keeping the original shock spring and top retainer where they fit. The damper provides adjustable damping: tweak the top spring retainer and rotate the red adjustment screw at the base of the negative-pressure oil chamber to change internal preload and oil flow.

The unit is designed for practical suspension tuning to alter rebound and compression balance and the perceived spring behaviour without changing spring rates or shock length.

Before use, clean mounting points, confirm shaft and seal condition, and perform incremental adjustments while testing to find the right damping for your driving style.
