Main shaft titanium dog bone 112mm

This 112mm titanium dog bone is an aftermarket replacement intended for HPI Savage 21 main shaft installations and is supplied as one piece for RC drivetrain applications. It is compatible with the Savage submodels shown in the compatibility box and replaces standard steel or alloy dog bones to give a corrosion resistant link between the main shaft and outdrives while remaining easy to fit.

Fitting notes: remove the rear driveline assembly as described in your chassis manual, slide the dog bone into the outdrive and main cup, and fasten any retaining pins or clips used on your unit. No modifications to the main shaft are necessary for the listed compatible models. When reassembling check for free rotation and correct centring before tightening fasteners to final torque.

Adjustment and maintenance: the titanium dog bone helps maintain drivetrain alignment under load and reduces the risk of bending that can upset gear mesh and power delivery. Use this part when renewing worn dog bones or when changing diff or outdrive geometry during setup changes.

Yes, it is a direct-fit replacement for the listed models when used with the original outdrives and cups; no machining should be needed.
Titanium resists corrosion but still benefits from periodic inspection and light lubrication at contact points to maintain smooth operation.
The change in material stiffness compared to steel may alter driveline feel; monitor gear engagement and make any necessary adjustments to maintain smooth power transfer.
