This 16 piece CVD assembly is developed for the high-load environment of the Traxxas X-Maxx 6S driveline, swapping vulnerable components for hardened steel #45 parts and a reinforced alloy hex interface. The unit transfers wheel torque through the drivetrain while resisting twist and fatigue at higher rotational speeds.
Notable production updates versus the OEM parts are thicker dogbones raised from 5.5mm to 7mm and a redesigned CVD to hex coupling that uses a stainless steel pin through a perforated seat to hold the alloy hex more firmly than the original fixing. These are mechanical reinforcements that do not change the drivetrain geometry.
The product is promoted for installation at either the front or rear positions where typical CVDs are exposed to high rotational speed, and it is supplied as a direct replacement or upgraded component for the models listed below.
Select this kit for replacing worn CVDs on a Traxxas X-Maxx 6S or when a stiffer steel joint and pinned alloy hex are required for demanding use.
