1/12-scale GT500 soft belted radial tyre

The Yokomo YOKGT-39AS is a 1/12-scale belted radial rubber tyre supplied in a soft compound for GT500 on-road applications. Belted radial construction helps the tread retain its profile under cornering, while the softer compound increases mechanical adhesion on smooth indoor surfaces.

The tyre is intended for GT500 1/12 on-road wheel assemblies and standard 1/12 rims commonly used in touring and GT racing. Always confirm rim profile and internal diameter prior to mounting to guarantee correct bead seating.

Installation follows familiar practice: fit the tyre to the rim, secure with conventional tyre glue suitable for foam-backed or plain rims, then balance the assembly to minimise high-speed vibration. The soft compound typically boosts front-end bite and mid-corner grip, so expect to adjust suspension geometry, camber and toe to maintain balanced handling.

Use this tyre when additional mechanical traction is needed for improved corner exit or when track conditions suit softer rubber, noting that wear will be greater than with harder compounds.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
They are designed with GT500 1/12 fitment in mind but can be mounted on other 1/12 rims that match the tyre's inner profile; measure rim dimensions before attempting to fit.
After gluing, spin-balance the tyre on a tyre balancer and add small weights or trims as needed to eliminate vibration at speed for stable handling.
Opt for the soft compound when you need better mechanical traction for corner exits or when the track surface and temperature favour grippier rubber, while accepting a shorter tread life compared with harder tyres.
