The 1968 Marathon De la Route , a gruelling 84-hour event authorized by the FIA, occured at Nuburgring circuit in Germany on August 21 1968. The Track had been 22.8km very long, and included a continuously uneven area and corners of several characteristics. Mazda delivered a group two Cosmo Sport (export model title:110S) as a result of this tough competition, to exhibit the powerful, durability and reliability of those completely new rotary motor. The Long-awaited rotary engined Cosmo Sport was in reality launched regarding japanese market in-may 1967.
