This is a 1/350 scale injection-moulded plastic kit depicting the Imperial Japanese Navy battleship Mikasa, released as the Battle of Yellow Sea edition in the 1/350 & 1/450 Water Line Series.

The actual Mikasa was a British-built pre-dreadnought for the Imperial Japanese Navy at the start of the 20th century. She served as Admiral Togo's flagship in the Russo-Japanese War and took part in major engagements of the period, including the Battle of the Yellow Sea and the Battle of Tsushima. Her configuration shows the typical pre-dreadnought arrangement of armament and armor for that era.
