Introduced in 1933, the BA-3 illustrates early Soviet armoured development with heavy plating and a chassis based on Ford-Timken practice, later adapted to GAZ-AAA standards. The option for auxiliary tracks allowed the vehicle to traverse softer ground despite its weight.
Hobby Boss supplies a detailed 1/35 rendition of the BA-3 with more than 290 parts, a multi-slide hull construction and a three-piece turret. Photo-etched items are provided to add crisp small details and elevate the overall finish of the model.
Completed, the model measures about 140.8mm in length and 59.5mm across, with rubber tyres and fine moulded features that make it attractive on display. It pairs well with other interwar Soviet subjects in a historical collection.
