The Hobby Boss 83845 kit presents a faithful 1/35 rendition of the Russian ZIS-151, a versatile Soviet truck used widely after World War II. The model mirrors the vehicle that replaced the Studebaker US6 and was adapted for roles such as mounting BM-13 Katyusha rocket launchers.
Built from 1947 to 1965 at Automotive Factory No. 2, initially called Zavod imeni Stalina and later Zavod imeni Likhacheva, the ZIS-151 formed an essential part of Soviet transport fleets. Its successor, the ZIL-157, introduced visual and mechanical revisions including a new grille and single rear wheels.
This 1/35 scale kit contains over 250 parts and provides a rewarding build for experienced modellers. It includes a multi-slide moulded cab and photo-etched components to capture fine detail, while the rubber tyres help the finished model look authentic.
