Steel pinion pair for final drive tuning

These two steel pinions are supplied as a pair for HPI Baja applications, comprising one 16T and one 18T gear. Both pinions feature a 5mm bore to suit standard motor shafts and have been profile regraded to engage the stock spur gear or SBJ057T. They allow small, controlled changes to final drive so you can refine acceleration versus top speed without changing the spur.

As hardened steel items, the pinions resist wear better than softer materials and are suitable for typical RC torque demands across on-road and off-road use. The pair format makes it straightforward to swap and compare performance on the car or at the track.
