Durable aluminium front and rear tie rods for SAVAGE XL FLUX

This aluminium tie rod set is made for the HPI Racing SAVAGE XL FLUX and replaces the factory plastic links to provide a firmer steering connection and improved resistance to flex during aggressive off-road driving.

The kit includes matched front steering and rear support pieces that use the original ball-end points, so the overall suspension geometry stays unchanged. Installation is intended as a direct swap, focusing on secure fastening rather than chassis alteration.

Supplied hardware for mounting: 3x18 stainless steel button head screw - 4 pcs, 3x20 stainless steel button head screw - 4 pcs, 3x6x2 aluminium collars - 4 pcs, 3x6x3 aluminium collars - 4 pcs, 3mm lock nut - 4 pcs. Use thread lock on metal fasteners where suitable and recheck clearances through full suspension travel once fitted.

Will fitting these affect suspension travel?

No significant change to suspension travel is expected because the links match the original geometry, but verify there is no interference at full droop and compression after installation.

Should I use lubrication on the ball ends?

A light, appropriate lubricant on the ball ends can reduce wear and noise. Avoid heavy greases that may attract grit which could accelerate wear.
