Upgrade Housing for Savage Drivetrain

This purple anodised aluminium gearbox housing is an aftermarket accessory for the HPI Savage Nitro Off Road Series. The alloy casing gives a stronger mount for spur and pinion alignment and helps support drivetrain components during heavy off-road use.

Purpose: enhanced durability and more predictable tuning. The aluminium case reduces deformation and helps keep gear mesh steady under load, making setup changes like spur height adjustments or bearing swaps easier to manage. It ships as the housing only and does not include internal gears or bearings.

Installation pointers: remove the factory plastic gearbox and install the internals into the alloy shell. Keep original fasteners where suitable and recheck mesh and backlash after fitting. Confirm screw lengths and any spacers to avoid interference with the motor pinion or spur assembly.
