This aluminium fuel tank protection case is designed to suit the HPI Savage family of nitro buggies and trucks. It sits around the tank to minimise damage from flips, rocks and chassis contact during hard off-road running, protecting the plastic tank and mounting area while leaving fuel plumbing and capacity unchanged.
The cover is intended for the Savage variants listed below and is supplied as a single structural piece that attaches using the original tank fasteners and chassis attachment points. Typical installation requires removal of the body shell and the reuse of the original hex screws; no additional brackets are necessary.
During setup, consider the case an impact-resistance upgrade only. It improves tank durability and has negligible effect on suspension geometry or centre of gravity for normal RC tuning, and it will not impede fuel flow.
Use this removable case when you need dependable shielding for the fuel tank in demanding use; always confirm fitment and tighten original fasteners to the correct torque.
