Accurate Commutator Turning for RC Motors

The HUDY 101000 Advanced Comm Lathe is tailored for enthusiasts who require fine, repeatable results when reworking modified motors. Its black hard-anodized coating and sturdy layout give consistent handling and control.

Core Features of the HUDY 101000

  • Ball Bearing Guides: Ensure smooth carriage movement and help eliminate unwanted play for truer cuts.
  • Ultra-Fine Pitch Lead Screw: Permits extremely small tool shifts, with each feed indicator matching a 0.01 mm change in tool position.
  • Vibration Elimination: Anti-vibration pads and a three-ball axial support system reduce chatter for cleaner commutator surfaces.
  • Comprehensive Accessories: Includes slave motor, connection cable, switch box, carrying case, belts and shims to help set and maintain tool height.

Specifications

  • Power Source: 4.8V DC (4x1.2V battery pack)
  • Adjustment Tools: Comes with 3 hex-wrenches for precise lathe setup
  • Optional Accessories: #101081 Diamond Cutting Tool recommended

For model engineers and racers aiming for exacting results, the HUDY 101000 provides controlled accuracy and low vibration in a compact lathe.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some HUDY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 8-12 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The ultra-fine pitch lead screw gives you 0.01 mm resolution per feed increment, so you can achieve very consistent commutator profiles when set up correctly.
The unit is specified for 4.8V DC using a 4x1.2V battery pack, but a regulated 4.8V DC bench supply is an acceptable alternative if polarity and current limits are observed.
Keep the sliding surfaces clean, lightly lubricate bearing points as required and inspect belts and shims before use to maintain accuracy and longevity.
While you can try alternative bits, the #101081 Diamond Cutting Tool is recommended for consistent results across common motor commutator materials.
Model engineers, competitive racers and experienced hobbyists who demand reproducible commutator finishing and low vibration will benefit most from this tool.
