Improve Suspension Pivoting with HUDY 107633 Arm Reamer

The HUDY 107633 Arm Reamer provides controlled resizing of plastic suspension holes to cure binding issues. Intended for 1/10 scale models, it leaves pivots moving freely while avoiding excessive clearance.

High Precision Tooling for RC

From HUDY's profiTOOLS range, this item has a 3.0mm tip and a 120mm length that reaches recessed areas on the chassis. The cutting surface is hand-ground with micro scurfies to give an even finish without tearing the arm material.

Reaming Procedure

  • Step 1: Align and push the tip into the arm hole until seated.
  • Step 2: Rotate smoothly while applying light forward pressure to remove material evenly.
  • Step 3: When the handle contacts the arm reverse and pull out while rotating to finish the pass.

Using this approach results in a non-binding suspension arm and steadier handling lap after lap.

Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some HUDY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 8-12 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Any 1/10 scale car with plastic suspension arms that show tight pivots or inconsistent movement will benefit from careful reaming with this tool.
The tip is hand-ground to precise specs; do not attempt to regrind it unless you have the right micro tools and experience, as you can easily change the diameter.
Make short passes and test fit often. Remove minimal material each time and check pivot clearance to reach the desired free movement without excess play.
