Will the system cope with different tyre offsets?

The HUDY 109405 measures from the steering and toe plates; you should account for tyre offset when comparing absolute values, but it will show relative changes reliably.

Is the acrylic plate prone to scratching?

Acrylic can mark if abraded, so keep it free of grit and store the set-up system in its foam packing to reduce the risk of surface damage.

Can I use this for baseline setup before upgrades?

Absolutely. Use the HUDY 109405 to record baseline camber, caster and toe before making changes so you can revert or compare results after upgrades.
