Clutch Spring Adjustment Made Practical

The HUDY 182005 Clutch Spring Tool is intended for model engineers working on 1/8 and 1/10 nitro engines. It makes fitting and adjusting the clutch spring preload collar quicker and reduces the guesswork when tuning clutch engagement.

Simple Procedure for Preload Changes

Designed for intuitive use, the tool assists in mounting and removing the clutch spring preload collar with ease. To fit it, insert the preload adjusting collar into the tool, press it onto the spring and screw it on to the clutch nut. For preload tuning, set the tool over the collar and rotate until the setting is correct.

Quality 7075 T6 Aluminium Finish

Produced from CNC machined Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium, the tool is both light and strong. The HUDY diamond finish enhances grip and handling. As a member of the "25 years anniversary" series, it combines practical design with refined styling for hobby benches.

It can work with older clutch types if the preload collar shape and size are compatible. Check collar dimensions before attempting to fit to avoid damage.
The diamond texture is shallow and designed for grip; it should not leave marks on metal parts. Mild surface impressions on soft materials are possible if excessive pressure is used.
7075 T6 offers a high strength-to-weight ratio, so the tool remains light without sacrificing durability. That makes it easy to handle during repeated adjustments.
