Improve Rear Grip with HUDY 816303D-S Soft Tyres

Selecting the correct tyres is essential for 1/10 off-road performance. The HUDY 816303D-S soft compound rear tyres are intended for rear axle fitment on 2WD and 4WD cars, delivering increased traction on unprepared dirt tracks.

Benefits of the Soft Compound

The soft HUDY 816303D-S compound yields a larger bite on loose and dusty surfaces, enhancing cornering traction and allowing smoother throttle application without sudden slides.

Rear Wheel Compatibility

These tyres are profiled to mount cleanly on standard 1/10 rear rims and are suitable for a broad selection of 2WD and 4WD off-road chassis. They strike a balance between grip and anticipated wear for race-day use.

Practical Mounting Tips

  • Scrape old glue and debris from the rim before fitting the tyre to ensure a secure seat.
  • Use a proven tyre adhesive and hold the tyre in place while the glue sets to prevent slippage.
  • Replace tyres when tread depth or compound integrity begins to degrade to retain consistent handling.
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some HUDY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 8-12 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
They are best on loose, dusty dirt and soft loam where the compound can conform and grip. They are less suitable for smooth, asphalt-like surfaces.
Apply glue in a thin continuous bead and rotate the tyre slowly as you press it onto the rim to avoid air pockets. Wipe excess glue away before it cures.
A medium-density foam insert can stabilise the tyre shape and improve response over rough sections, making handling more predictable.
They are intended for rear placement to enhance traction; using them on the front will change steering balance and is not generally recommended.
