Italeri 1/56 Panzer III Ausf. J/L/M/N Historical Scale Model

The Panzer III was a fundamental element of German armoured units during WWII, originally fitted with a 37mm gun and later upgraded to 50mm; some L and M versions carried the 75/24 gun akin to the Panzer IV. Production ended in August 1943. This Italeri 1/56 kit recreates the defining features of those variants for accurate modelling and display.

Faithful Variant Representation

The kit illustrates the Panzer III's evolution in armament and role and includes a tanker figure to enhance the scene when displayed in a diorama or collection.

Construction Notes and Display Quality

With clear assembly steps and precise parts, the model suits experienced modellers and those aiming for a museum style finish. Its scale accuracy makes it an excellent companion piece to other 1/56 military models.

Specifications

  • Scale: 1/56
  • Material: PS Plastic
  • Assembly: Requires glue
  • Includes: Tanker figure
1/56 is a common scale for tabletop wargaming and pairs well with other figures and vehicles in the same scale, offering a balance between detail and display footprint.
Start with a primer, apply base colours in thin coats, then use washes and subtle drybrushing to bring out panel lines and weathering consistent with field vehicles.
Build time varies by skill and finishing choices, but a straightforward assembly can be completed over a few evenings while detailed painting and weathering will add extra hours.
