The Italeri 15765 set lets modellers assemble the Sd. Kfz. 182 Panzer VI Ausf. B, commonly called the Tiger II or King Tiger. Introduced in the middle of 1944, the vehicle featured a revised chassis layout, enhanced sloped frontal armour and the formidable 8.8 cm KwK 43 L/71 gun.
Equipped with a Maybach V-12, the King Tiger could reach around 42 km/h on roads despite a combat weight near 70 tonnes. Production saw two turret fits, the earlier Porsche type and the later Henschel turret, both providing large ammunition stowage for combat endurance.
This 1/56 scale kit offers a compact footprint while preserving the tank's distinct lines, suitable for collectors, diorama work and tabletop scenarios. The kit is simple to assemble and comes with one figure to enhance realism in displays referencing battles such as Normandy in July 1944.
