The Italeri 2508S - 1/32 Nieuport 17 faithfully represents the French WWI fighter and its development from the Nieuport 11, showing the larger wing layout and upgraded engine that improved performance. Early examples were armed with a Lewis 7.7 mm machine gun, while later conversions adopted a synchronised 7.7 mm Vickers gun for forward fire.
This kit depicts Nieuport 17s in service on the Western Front from mid 1916 and reflects their impact in rebalancing Allied air strength against German types. Renowned aces including Albert Ball and W.A. Bishop achieved notable records flying the type. Builders receive decals for five different versions to recreate distinct historical markings.
