The Italeri 1/12 Alfa Romeo 8C/2300 Roadster model commemorates a hallmark of 1930s sports car engineering. The 8C featured an 8-cylinder inline supercharged engine with a displacement of 2,336 cc, a configuration respected for its racing performance and reliability in classic motorsport.
Drivers such as Tazio Nuvolari recorded major successes in the 8C, including wins at the Targa Florio and the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, giving rise to the GP cars being called Monza. The roadster editions were limited and aimed at buyers who valued open-top performance combined with refined engineering.
The Italeri kit reproduces the Alfa Romeo 8C/2300 with a focus on accurate detailing. It provides a detailed engine, faithful suspension parts and rubber tyres to match period appearance. The build comprises 320 plastic parts, 30 chromed parts and photoetched components for fine detail. The kit also features an opening cowling, steerable elements and a full colour instruction sheet. Glue and paint are required to complete the model.
