The Italeri 6076 release reproduces the look of the Deutsche Afrika Korps in 1/72 scale, offering collectors and modellers a compact set of troops that reflects period kit and uniform styles from the North African campaigns.
Deployed to North Africa in 1941 to stabilise the front after Italian setbacks, the Afrika Korps under General Erwin Rommel operated across Cyrenaica, fought around Tobruk and eventually ran into supply and strategic problems culminating at El Alamein. This kit provides a modelling link to those operations.
These figures respond well to precise painting and mild weathering. They are suitable for small vignettes, vehicle crew scenes or as part of a larger battlefield display. Careful brushwork and washes will enhance straps, folds and equipment at this scale.
