Use 6.0 to 7.4V supplies. A 2S LiPo or 7.4V regulated feed will maximise speed and torque, while quality Ni-MH packs also work within the servo's range.
Replacement servo horns and compatible gear kits are commonly available; match the standard size and spline pattern when selecting spares.
Set endpoints via your transmitter to avoid overstrain, and centre the servo horn mechanically before final trimming to ensure accurate neutral steering.
Regularly inspect mounting screws, wiring and the connector, keep the horn and linkage free from play, and replace the horn if stripped to maintain performance.
