A 60th anniversary take on the classic FANTOM EP

To celebrate six decades of model car development, Kyosho releases the 30644 FANTOM EP 4WD Ext Gold Edition. This 1/12 scale kit blends period cues with contemporary parts for enthusiasts who like to fine tune every setup parameter.

Special edition mechanical improvements

The car includes gold anodized aluminium components as part of the anniversary specification. A rear ball differential paired with a 6mm carbon rear shaft helps keep power delivery tidy, and the EFW014 adjustable rear shock is standard for precise damping adjustments.

Classic ladder chain design retained

The ladder chain 4WD system remains central to the layout, offering dependable behaviour on slick surfaces. The black FRP double-deck chassis balances rigidity and flex where needed, aided by a front reinforcement plate. Adjustable oil shocks and the 3-point suspension layout support consistent handling feedback.

Custom build and race prep

Pre-glued tyres and an unpainted bodyshell allow custom paint and tyre choices. The lightweight carbon rear shaft and special wheel bolt add durability without unnecessary weight. Builders can also fit an optional rear wing to boost rear traction when required.
