The Kyosho Inferno GT series has been a reference point for 1/8 scale touring car enthusiasts, offering a blend of scale detail and race-capable mechanics. The GT2 advances that lineage with focused revisions that favour on-road performance and true-to-scale proportions. It builds on the Inferno MP7.5 buggy architecture while extending the wheelbase to improve tracking and visual accuracy.
The GT2 is powered by the GXR28SG motor, selected for reliable power delivery across the rev range. This engine sits in a carefully tuned chassis that gives a predictable balance between grip and responsiveness. The package also includes dual disk brakes for consistent stopping, adjustable turnbuckle upper arms and tie rods for alignment work, plus blue anodised wheel hubs and shock caps for neat cosmetics.
Important updates over the original GT include a 35mm increase to the wheelbase, yielding greater stability. A reworked 2-speed gearbox enables higher top-end velocity, the fuel tank capacity is expanded to 150cc for longer track sessions, and the smaller 34mm flywheel provides crisper throttle control. Torque rods front and rear further aid handling balance.
The Kyosho Inferno GT2 ships as a Readyset, arriving assembly-complete with a painted McLaren F1 GTR body and decals in place. Included are a PERFEX KT6 transmitter, a plug-style heater and a fuel bottle. Batteries for the radio and heater must be purchased separately.
The Inferno GT2 is suited to experienced nitro racers and collectors who value scale detail alongside a tunable, high-performance chassis.
