Steering Control Upgrade: Kyosho IFW609C Horn

The Kyosho IFW609C Aluminum Steering Servo Horn is made for Futaba servos and the MP10/MP9 platforms. It is 2mm shorter than conventional horns to produce a softer first steering reaction, while the aluminium construction delivers long term reliability and consistent steering input under load.

This horn is intended for Futaba-style splines. Confirm your servo spline count and fit before purchase to ensure a correct match.

How should I check steering after fitting?

After installation, centre the servo, set steering endpoints and perform low speed tests to check for binding and to fine tune trim and travel adjustments.

Can I swap back to the original horn easily?

Yes, the horn replaces the original on the same spline. Keep the original hardware and note the neutral position so you can revert if desired.
