Rear upper arm bulk technical summary

This alloy rear upper arm bulk is an aftermarket component for Kyosho Mini Inferno ST and Mini Inferno 09 chassis. It installs around the front gearbox to accept the rear upper arm pivots and is supplied as a one-piece metal unit with screws for fitting in place of the original plastic retainer.

The main function is to provide a firmer mounting point at the front gearbox, reducing compliance at the upper arm pivot. Upgrading to an alloy bulk limits flex under load, which tends to stabilise toe and camber behaviour and assist drivers seeking repeatable handling during track or club racing sessions.

Installation is intended for experienced hobbyists and follows standard Mini Inferno procedures. Remove the existing front upper arm retainers, transfer any links or bearings, secure the new alloy bulk with the included hardware, then confirm there is no binding and that suspension travel is free before completing the fit.

No special bearings are required; you can reuse the original wheel-side bearings when transferring the assembly, provided they are in good condition.
The alloy construction is durable for typical RC use. Regular maintenance and cleaning after wet or dusty sessions will help preserve the finish and function.
By reducing flex at the upper arm mount, steering inputs translate more directly and suspension reactions become more consistent, which many drivers find improves predictability through corners.
