Motor pinion tailored for Mini Inferno models

This aluminium 14-tooth motor pinion is supplied as a single unit and is made for the Kyosho Mini Inferno chassis. It is intended as a replacement for worn pinions or for use during tuning where gear ratio changes are being evaluated with different spurs and motors.

Tuning impact and function: swapping to this 14T changes the drivetrain ratio and therefore the balance between torque and top speed. Model builders use this part when refining on-track performance or when reverting to standard gearing after experiments.

Practical fit notes: install the pinion on the motor shaft ensuring correct axial alignment and check the mesh with the spur to prevent early wear. Rotate the assembly slowly after installation to ensure there is no binding and that surrounding components remain clear. This product is supplied for model use only and not for real vehicle applications.

A 14-tooth pinion sets the basic ratio with a given spur; compared with lower tooth counts it will usually give higher top speed but lower mechanical advantage, depending on the spur used.
Check the pinion bore and motor shaft for tight, correct fit. Excessive play can cause uneven wear, so recheck after a few runs and retighten or replace as needed.
Aluminium is lighter and resists corrosion, while brass can offer different wear characteristics; choice depends on driving style and whether you prioritise weight or long-term mesh durability.
