The KM048 alloy steering housing is supplied as a single-piece replacement for Kyosho motor cycle models, arriving with mounting screws while the 8x12 ball bearing must be provided by the builder and is not included.
Constructed from machined aluminium to replace plastic housings, the component stiffens the steering interface without requiring changes to on-board electronics like servos, ESCs or motors.
Fitting instructions: designed for Kyosho assemblies that take an 8x12 ball bearing (not supplied). Remove the original housing with standard hand tools, ensure the bearing seat is true, then fasten the alloy housing using the supplied screws. Recheck steering throw and endplay and make minor linkage adjustments to achieve neutral steering.
Setup notes: this alloy housing reduces drivetrain flex at the front end to produce a more precise steering response when tuning toe, caster or steering damping; it is intended to supplement suspension and linkage setup rather than replace those adjustments.
