Will this body impact lap performance?

The shell itself is cosmetic and will not change chassis geometry. Any lap time differences are usually down to setup, tyres and driver tuning rather than the body shell.

How should I prepare the shell before painting?

Clean the inside and outside with a mild solvent, mask panel areas with low-tack tape and use light, even coats of polycarbonate paint to avoid runs and preserve detail.

Can I use my current body posts and clips?

Most MR-03 RWD body posts and clips will work. Check that posts line up with the shell and that clips secure without placing pressure on thin areas of the body.
