Pinion description and use

This 20T motor pinion is supplied as an aftermarket upgrade for Losi Super Baja variants. Fabricated from hardened steel #45, the gear meshes with the spur to transfer motor power into the model drivetrain with improved toughness.

The pinion is typically fitted to replace a 19T stock pinion on Super Baja Rey configurations when the motor mount is positioned for 20T. When installing, check motor shaft alignment and ensure the set screw seats correctly, then adjust the gear mesh to eliminate excess backlash or tight spots.

Fit this hardened pinion as part of gear ratio tuning or where increased wear resistance is required for off-road use. After fitting, confirm spur mesh and bearing alignment and manually rotate the drivetrain to verify smooth operation before running the vehicle.
