This is a 1:48 scale plastic model kit depicting the Soviet MiG-3 early version, produced for modellers aiming to create accurate historical display pieces.

The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-3 was developed from the MiG-1 to improve high-altitude performance and went into production in December 1940. Frontline deliveries began in April 1941; series production mostly halted by late December 1941 because of limited AM-35A engine supplies. Around 3,120 airframes were manufactured, with roughly 50 additional aircraft assembled from spare parts in early 1942. The type functioned as a high-altitude interceptor with a wingspan of 10.20 m, length of 8.26 m, and a maximum speed close to 640 km/h at altitude.

At 1:48 scale the kit recreates the early wartime silhouette and the published model length and wingspan match the kit's stated measurements. Plastic components are split across several sprues to form primary airframe sections, and the decal sheet contains Soviet VVS markings seen on early-production machines. Builders should expect conventional injection-moulded assembly and finishing steps.
