17mm ringless race roller M4WD-31/RE for Mini 4WD chassis

This 17mm ringless aluminium ball race roller is supplied as a spare for Mini 4WD models. It is aimed at performance 4WD racing chassis and can be used as a direct spare or alternative to standard rollers. The ringless inner design lowers the number of internal contact points compared with ringed rollers; experienced racers will note differences in fitment and rolling behaviour on tuned rigs.

Compatibility notes: the roller is compatible with common Mini 4WD roller mounts and axle arrangements used on racing chassis. It is not a complete upgrade kit, so installers should verify axle diameter and spacer requirements before fitting. Use with Wild Mini 4WD or Scale Mini 4WD is not advised, and the advice here applies to performance chassis such as MA, MS, AR, FM-A, VS and Super-II where relevant.

Finish and handling: anodised red and machined from aluminium, the part should be installed without over-tightening screws and checked for lateral play after initial runs. Regular cleaning and inspection for burrs will help maintain smooth rolling and reduce chassis wear.

The roller is intended for standard Mini 4WD shafts but confirm internal bore and spacer stack before fitting to ensure correct preload and clearance.
Service routines remain similar; concentrate on bearing cleanliness and axle seating since there is no ring to inspect for wear.
It suits many performance chassis types, but check mounting clearance on MS and MA variants before using in competition.
Many spare rollers are sold without extra washers or spacers; confirm the package contents with the vendor and prepare any required spacers.
Rotate the fitted roller by hand and check for wobble or lateral play, then perform a short run to ensure there is no unwanted contact during normal chassis movement.
