This shaft is supplied as a replacement core for the Kyosho Mini-Z MR-01 ball differential assembly. It operates as the central rotating member in a ball-type diff, enabling torque transfer while allowing wheel speed differences in turns and traction changes.

A worn or scored shaft will cause play and rough running, so replace it to restore smooth diff action and to protect balls and race surfaces. Proper lubrication with a light grease suited to ball diffs will prolong life and performance.

Fitting is routine for those familiar with Mini-Z builds: remove the diff case, check the balls and races, fit the new shaft with correct seating, and reassemble using the original preload and clearances. Perform a short run to confirm handling and adjust diff setup as part of normal tuning.
