This 1/27-scale chassis set is tailored for the Mini-Z MR-04EVO2 platform and is presented as a technical EVO2 upgrade option within Kyosho's Mini-Z competition range.
The MR-04EVO2 is a substantial update to the MR series released late in 2023, the first full model revision in 14 years while maintaining MR-03 design fundamentals. The platform adds a sensored brushless motor, refreshed front suspension geometry, a lower battery mounting position for a reduced center of gravity, and upgraded high-speed radio comms. These enhancements are designed to deliver finer steering response and improved stability for circuit-focused Mini-Z racing.
As a chassis set, the product emphasises component and electronic upgrades rather than body design. Principal hardware updates include the reinforced Front Suspension Arm 2.0, front knuckles with integrated kingpins for superior camber consistency, and seven 3 mm inner-diameter ball bearings to reduce rotational resistance. The battery location is lowered relative to earlier MR-03 variants to support cornering balance. A ball differential is included to manage slip versus traction in turns. Gyro and some radio elements are not supplied so users can pick compatible equipment that fits class rules and personal tuning aims. ESC and motor RPM settings are adjustable through the I.C.S. Setting Manager to meet Mini-Z Cup standards effective 2025.
The chassis set is offered as a focused upgrade within the Mini-Z line, prioritising suspension geometry, lowered battery placement, and minimized bearing drag to enhance lap consistency and setup options.
