Subtle metal-effect coating for modelling

This metallic finishing acrylic is formulated for hobby and modelling use on scale kits and small parts. It uses carefully milled metallic pigment to produce reflective highlights without a coarse texture when applied in thin, measured layers.

Application tips: stir or shake well before use, build the finish with thin successive coats instead of one heavy application, and allow adequate flash-off time between coats. Test on a concealed area to check adhesion and the visual effect before finishing visible panels.

Compatibility and surface prep: apply over a primer suitable for plastic and resin after cleaning and degreasing components. For fine detailing employ a small brush or a low-pressure airbrush to keep lines sharp and prevent accumulation in recesses.

Handling and cleanup: keep the container closed when not in use and store in a cool, dry spot away from heat sources. Clean brushes and airbrush elements immediately with the recommended cleaner to avoid dried pigment and blockages.

It bonds best to surfaces primed with an acrylic-compatible primer; lightly scuff and clean older paint before applying to improve adhesion.
Use a fine brush to spot-apply thin layers, matching the original application technique and allowing each layer to flash off before the next.
Small mixes are possible but test compatibility first; mixing may alter metallic reflectivity so trial on scrap is recommended.
Allow the metallic layers to fully flash and cure as per conditions; once fully dry, a compatible clear coat can be applied—test a small area to ensure no bloom.
