Compact aluminium motor mount built for YD-2S

This aluminium motor mount is intended for the YD-2S range and provides a compact, chassis-specific solution to alter motor location on 1/10-scale RC drift cars. The bracket offers three indexed positions along the gearbox attachment so fore-to-aft weight balance can be adjusted without changing spur and pinion alignment.

Designed with tuning in mind, the part influences chassis balance and handling rather than gearing. It bolts to the YD-2S gearbox mounting points and supplies front and rear offset choices to refine rotation and grip across different tracks.

What handling trade offs occur when I move the motor rearwards?

Placing the motor further back increases rear bias which can help rotation and reduce understeer, but may decrease front-end bite; tune incrementally to find the balance you prefer.

Do I need to re-check motor clearance after changing positions?

Always verify motor clearance and re-check gear mesh after moving the motor. Although the design keeps alignment, physical clearance for motor and wires must be confirmed.
