Designed for the EMBLA EB helicopter family, the HI0304169 is a 14-teeth motor pinion that engages the spur gear to deliver correct drivetrain action. It is used where accurate motor-to-spur engagement is required.
Replace a worn pinion or use this gear to alter the drive ratio for tuning. Because it sits on the motor shaft, its tooth count directly impacts mesh characteristics and drivetrain feel.
Fitment tips: remove or stabilise the motor to access the shaft, confirm shaft diameter and set screw seating, then secure the pinion at the correct axial position to obtain proper mesh with the spur gear. Test mesh under slow rotation and re-tighten the set screw after initial operation.
Adjustment notes: installing the 14T pinion changes the effective gearing and can be part of tuning strategies to adjust head speed and tail response. Always verify gearbox clearance and that bearings and the spur gear are serviceable to prevent premature wear.
