Servicing the MP9 front hub carrier

This Kyosho IF421-01 front hub carrier bush set is an aftermarket replacement intended for MP9 chassis front hub carriers. The set renews the locating bushings that control clearance and articulation between the hub carrier and steering components without affecting chassis geometry.

Compatibility: designed for MP9 series hub carriers. Use it as a direct replacement for the bushings that locate the hub carrier on the front suspension carriers, typically fitted during maintenance or when correcting front-end play.

Installation notes: to access the bushings you will generally need to remove the front hub carrier from the suspension arm. Basic tools such as hex drivers and pliers are normally sufficient—keep original shims and washers and check alignment after refitting. Confirm the hub spins freely and steering operates smoothly prior to running.

Tuning role: new bushings remove unwanted movement and restore consistent steering feedback, improving repeatability. This is a maintenance item to preserve handling characteristics rather than a tuning change to alter geometry.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Look for play at the hub, inconsistent steering return, or a loose feel in the front end. Any of these signs indicate the locating bushings may need replacing.
Yes. Retain and reinstall any original shims or washers to maintain intended clearance and alignment when refitting the hub carrier.
No. Replacing worn bushings restores specified clearance and steering repeatability but does not alter the chassis geometry or primary handling settings.
