Adopt a coarse to fine workflow, beginning with 180 grit to eliminate heavy marks and finishing with 320 grit to refine edges and surfaces; employ steady, light strokes and check progress frequently on small parts like wings, mirrors and badges. The sheets are convenient for hand use and compatible with small sanding blocks when a flat backing is required for broader panels.

Reserve separate sheets for putty sanding and final paint preparation to avoid cross contamination. When dealing with thin plastic or fine details, use minimal pressure and consider backing the sheet with a slim block to prevent over sanding delicate edges.
