MTX-5 Clutch Plate Description

The Arrowmax AM-MTX-T2704 pressure plate is an aftermarket replacement tailored for MUGEN MTX chassis cars, notably the MTX-5. Turned from 7075 aluminium with a hard temper, the plate is used in the clutch assembly to give racers a more consistent engagement profile and enhanced resistance to wear.

As a direct replacement, the plate modifies how the clutch springs and shoes transfer torque from the motor through the gearbox, producing improvements in engagement repeatability rather than altering peak output. Fitment requires standard RC tools and careful removal of the clutch cover following your usual maintenance routine.

For setup, test the plate with a range of springs and shoes suited to your MTX-5, and make incremental adjustments trackside to find the ideal bite and slip for your motor and gearing. Inspect the plate and mounting hardware periodically for wear.
