16T Pinion Suited to MTX-5 Drivetrains

The Arrowmax AM-MTX4-T0724 is a 16-tooth pinion machined from 7075 hard aluminium for use with Mugen MTX-5 compatible drivetrains. It is intended as an aftermarket component to adjust final gearing and influence acceleration and top speed on model cars, and not as a part for road vehicles.

In practice the pinion defines the final drive ratio and must mate cleanly with the spur gear and gearbox internals. Inspect for burrs, set the mesh for even tooth engagement across the width, and ensure the motor shaft and bearings show no axial play. Proper setup helps prevent premature wear and maintains reliable throttle response.

When tuning, alter pinion tooth count to change performance characteristics, then check engagement under load for stability. This product is supplied as an RC-scale replacement designed to fit the existing pinion mounting; additional adapters or fittings are not assumed to be provided.
