Low speed pendulum weights for trail use

This 12-piece pendulum wheel weight set is built for TRAXXAS TRX4 scale crawlers. The assembly uses a brass main body with an alloy lid plus removable stainless steel rolling beads so each wheel can carry extra downforce without changing suspension geometry. The pendulum keeps mass low and close to the tyre contact patch to help wheels remain planted during slow crawling and when exiting hollows.

The weights attach to the outer knuckle case on both front and rear axles and do not replace internal axle components. Per-wheel mass is adjusted by adding or removing up to eight stainless beads per unit, each bead about 4g, yielding roughly 66g to 86g per wheel depending on bead count and arrangement. A 23mm hex adapter is included for broader hex setups.

Components are selected for muddy or wet trail use, with stainless beads and hardware to minimise corrosion compared with plain metals. The pendulum action offers a constant downward bias as the wheel rotates, so tuning affects traction rather than steering geometry.

Suited to hobbyists tuning low-speed grip and consistent recovery from ruts, this pendulum weight kit gives a corrosion-resistant, adjustable method to improve TRX4 wheel contact and traction. Alter bead count to suit tyre choice and terrain.
