Shaft specification and fitment notes

The LA407 aluminium centre shaft serves as a direct replacement option for the LAZER ZX7.5 driveline. Produced from 95/7075 grade aluminium, the component helps control straightness and reduces deflection under standard 1/10 touring car loads.

Compatibility is centred on the LAZER ZX7.5 platform; check the shaft against your chassis bore dimensions and mounting layout before installation. The centre shaft locates the centre gear train, transfers torque across gearbox sections, and influences backlash and runout in the driveline.

Installation notes: inspect nearby bearings and gear faces for wear ahead of fitting, replace any damaged 走珠軸承, and ensure the shaft seats fully without binding. Apply thread lock where necessary and avoid over-tightening fasteners to prevent bearing preload.

Practical tuning: a precision, stiffer centre shaft can minimise unwanted flex and deliver more predictable behaviour through acceleration and braking, assisting in fine tuning differentials and suspension. Expect gradual improvements in control rather than dramatic time savings.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Kyosho items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Inspect all bearings supporting the centre shaft and adjoining gear faces for pitting or wear; replace any compromised 走珠軸承 prior to assembly to ensure correct seating and performance.
Use an appropriate medium-strength thread lock where threads cross rotating elements and tighten screws incrementally to avoid introducing axial preload on bearings.
Place the assembly on a flat surface and rotate to observe runout, or use a dial indicator if available; ensure the shaft seats cleanly and that there is no binding before final assembly.
