Precision composite steering ball joint

The XRAY 352666-G relief ball joint is produced from a graphite composite mix that provides a good trade-off between durability and low friction. The relieved socket profile reduces binding points so the ball can move more freely, aiding predictable steering feel during use and in contaminated conditions.

Designed to accept a 6.8mm pivot ball or ball stud, the item ships as two pieces suitable for a left and right linkage. It is a scale RC part meant to be used with steering linkages and ball cup holders, not with any full-size vehicle application.

Fitting requires removing the existing ball cup from the turnbuckle or steering arm and pressing the new joint into the socket, ensuring the mating ball is clean and lightly lubricated if necessary. During setup, verify there is no binding across the travel and that end-play is within acceptable limits to preserve steering responsiveness.

These joints are ideal when you need steady articulation and less sticking in dirty conditions; they are appropriate for touring cars and comparable RC platforms for steering connections and small adjustable rods.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some XRAY items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
They are compatible with 6.8mm pivot balls and ball studs; ensure your stud diameter matches 6.8mm for correct fitment.
Service life depends on track conditions and maintenance, but the graphite composite provides improved wear resistance compared with basic plastics, helping extend usable life under normal RC use.
They are best suited for touring cars and similar small RC platforms where reliable steering articulation and low binding are priorities.
