Precision Dot 1 Gear Differential Fluid

The Yokomo YOKCSDOT1 is a Dot 1 silicone differential oil created for RC-scale gear differentials. It is aimed at 1/10 scale electric on-road and touring chassis that require subtle differential behaviour and enhanced low-speed traction. Use this solely as a tuning fluid for model differentials.

In use, Dot 1 lowers internal drag and permits smoother engagement during low-torque conditions, assisting with corner entry and traction on lower-grip tracks. It produces faster internal recovery than heavier oils, helping steering responsiveness.

To install, drain the existing oil, clean internals if necessary, refill to the manufacturer's recommended volume for your diff, and allow a short run-in to stabilise behaviour before final setup adjustments.

Will this oil work with different 1/10 touring differentials?

Dot 1 is intended for gear differentials in 1/10 electric on-road and touring cars; verify your chassis manual for recommended fluid types and fill volumes.

Is this safe for use with diff shims and common RC materials?

Silicone Dot 1 is generally compatible with standard diff shims, seals and plastics used in RC gear differentials. Inspect seals and parts if you use non-standard materials.

How should I check if the diff is performing correctly after fitment?

After refilling, perform a short test session and note steering entry, mid-corner balance and throttle response. Reassess fill level or test a different dot grade if handling is not as expected.
