Fit guidance for Yokomo R12/GT rear shock shafts

This replacement rear shock shaft and piston is made for the Yokomo R12/GT series and serves as an RC touring car accessory. The shaft features a titanium-coated surface to reduce scratching and protect the damper O-ring, helping to preserve smooth piston action over time. It is suitable for standard rear pitching dampers included with R12 kits and may be used with wider-spec R12 and GT series front dampers where applicable.

Fitting instructions: remove the original rear damper piston shaft and insert the R12-18SRT through the damper body and seal stack in the same orientation as the part being replaced. Check that the O-ring is seated correctly and that the piston moves freely before finishing assembly. Select appropriate shock oil and follow your usual damper service routine for R12/GT chassis.

Compatibility note: the titanium finish reduces micro-abrasion at the O-ring interface and can help stabilise damping performance over repeated use. Internal piston geometry and hole sizes remain unchanged, so tuning remains dependent on piston selection and oil viscosity.
