Engineered handling from the Kyosho R246-2002 Gambado

The Kyosho R246-2002 FF Gambado Route 246 KYOSHO CUP Edition is crafted for drivers who value precise steering and consistent chassis feedback. This edition pairs race-minded features with a compact, serviceable layout for circuit use.

Balanced front-engine FF platform

Created in partnership with ABC Hobby, the compact front-engine, front-wheel-drive chassis is tuned for even weight distribution and predictable steering responses. 7075S Duralumin parts such as the motor plate boost durability without unnecessary weight.

Stability and tuning components

The inclusion of a ball differential and aluminium oil shocks gives the R246-2002 controllable traction and refined damping options. A carbon radio plate trims mass and increases torsional stiffness, while the kingpin strut independent suspension helps the tyres maintain contact on varied lines.

Fitment and tyre choices

Fitted with 8-spoke white wheels and AS28 radial tyres, the car arrives ready for many circuit conditions. It accepts a variety of M chassis body shells for aerodynamic tuning and visual customisation.

Nearly complete kit for quick track time

About 80% assembled from the factory, this kit contains several high-performance racing parts pre-installed to reduce build time and let you focus on setup and testing.

The Kyosho R246-2002 provides a race-capable FF platform with durable materials and accessible setup options. It is a good choice for enthusiasts who like to tune and refine handling for competitive running.

Basic modelling tools plus a set of hex drivers, pliers and thread lock for metal screws are sufficient to complete the remaining assembly steps.
Begin with standard shock oil and spring settings, then adjust droop and camber incrementally to find a balance between turn-in and mid-corner grip.
It accepts common M chassis body shells, but check event regulations for allowed body types and paint/trim rules before competing.
Inspect Duralumin parts for wear, check shock seals and diff condition, and confirm wheel bearings and drive components remain free of debris.
