The SCX6016TS pinion is an aftermarket motor pinion intended for direct motor drive use in hobby RC models. Manufactured from high carbon steel, the 16-tooth gear is built to carry motor torque to the drivetrain while avoiding any suggestion of OEM vehicle affiliation.
It has a 5mm centre bore and 1mm tooth pitch to suit motors and spurs with the same dimensions. For correct operation fit the pinion concentrically on the shaft, set the mesh carefully, and secure it using the supplied screw shaft if applicable. Recheck mesh and fastening before sustained high-power running.
Compatibility tip: confirm a 5mm motor shaft and 1mm pitch on your spur gear. Upgrading to a hardened steel pinion can reduce deformation under load relative to softer gears, helping to maintain stable mesh in challenging off-road use.
